Prosecutors Called Two Witnesses on Monday
In the hush money trial against the former president, prosecutors called two witnesses Monday who testified about payments made to a woman who alleged she had an affair with the defendant. The witnesses, both former employees of the defendant, said they were directed to make the payments by the defendant's then-attorney, Michael Cohen. The payments were allegedly made to silence the woman and prevent her from speaking out about the affair during the 2016 presidential campaign.
