WEB Claudia Schiffer's name alone evokes her iconic status in the fashion world so it is no wonder that the former supermodel has turned her insiders eye to the curation of Captivate an exhibition at the Kunstpalast Dusseldorf.
Opening on 4 December and running until the 17 April 2023 Captivate: Fashion Photography from the 90s presents the work of some of the most influential fashion photographers of the era including Patrick Demarchelier, Peter Lindbergh, Herb Ritts, Ellen von Unwerth and Karl Lagerfeld. Were thrilled to have Claudia on board for this exhibition said Felix Kramer, Director of the Kunstpalast. Her perspective and experience will provide visitors with a unique insight into this important period in fashion history.
The exhibition will feature over 150 photographs from the 1990s, a decade that saw fashion photography reach new heights of creativity and glamour. The images on display will capture the work of the top models of the era, including Schiffer herself, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington and Linda Evangelista.
Schiffer, who was one of the most photographed women in the world during the 1990s, said she is excited to share her insights into the fashion photography of the era. I am delighted to be involved in this exhibition said Schiffer. The 1990s was such an important time for fashion photography, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to share some of my favorite images from that period with the public.
